Bringing Your Design into the Game

One of the great additions to the game is the option to create a Unique horse breed solely for you. In order to bring your horse into the game you will need 4000 loyalty points. Loyalty points (lp) are the red diamond currency at the top of your ranch. They can be obtained for purchasing ads in the ratio of 1 LP per 5 Academy Dollars (ADs) purchased. Academy Dollars are the blue laurel currency at the top of your ranch.

Once you have obtained 4000LP you can request to have your horse design added to the game for you. You can design your custom breed yourself or have another player design it for you.

Raffle Design Contests

What is a raffle design contest?

Sometimes Horse Academy hold a themed raffle design contest. This is a competition where the players are invited by Horse Academy to submit 3 of their own designs each. Winning designs from the contest will be added to the game as raffle prizes, for all players to enter and have a chance at winning.

FAQ

Ive made an emissive but I cant apply it to my horse, how do I do this?

The most common reason for this is saving your emissive design in the wrong category. If you are making a body base emissive, save the emissive design in the *base emissive* category. If you are making an emissive for a special part, save it under special emissive. Your emissives will then display with all other existing emissives on the emissives options on your design part.

I want to make a mane and tail thats emissive but theres no option for mane or tail emissives, how do I do it?

All you need to do is save your mane/tail in the special category to make them an emissive part option! Emissive mane and tail parts are classified as special, while none emissive mane and tail parts go into their own category label.

How many layers can I use on a design?

You can use a maximum of 10 layers per part.

How many parts can one horse have?

You can have a max of- 1 base, 1 overlay, 1 mane, 1 tail, 3 specials per design

I see a button labelled normal, when I click it it brings up a drop down of words, what are these?

These are the blend modes, these allow you to blend layers together in different ways to obtain more creative effects.

Can I see different angles of the horse while designing, if so how?

Certainly, click the camera button in the top right of display. This will bring up a camera tool where you can move the camera around to your desired depth of field and position. Selecting the scene label will also give you access to pre-set angles you can click through to use in a more simplistic format. It also provides background options, tapping the arrows either side of scene will cycle through the backgrounds. It is recommended to choose your scene *before* you choose your camera angle preference.

I see a button called Alpha Mask what does this do?

This is a slightly more complex aspect of designing. It puts the selected layer into the shape of another chosen layer from the alpha dropdown, sort of like a stencil.
